Quite a day all in all

Further to my Audi post, my morning was pretty surreal too. My unfinished Trabant sold on Ebay when I bought the X1/9, and the new owner lives in Orkney, and arranged to get it transported up to him. He organised it all and said someone will call you when they are en route to collect it. that call came this morning so I waited in for the recovery to collect it. To set the scene we live in a small cul de sac which is very quiet through the day. At this particular moment I happened to look out the 2nd floor bedroom window, and saw a red Honda Civic reversing by...15 feet in the air.

I pissed myself laughing when I went over to the window and saw this backing up along the narrow street!! :D:D

Excellent, I can imagine the neighbours faces when that pulled up on the street ...

It was great. Oldest car in the street is a 2006 Honda Civic, which the guy apologises to everyone for.. :) Even better, the guy across the way, who made a complaint to me just last week for checking for a boost leak in my X1/9 and " disturbing my ambiance", was blocked in for about 20mins by the truck. He didn't say a word!!

How many double takes would that transporter have got on the way to Orkney!
