Limit to how many cars I can buy and sell?

I am aware that I have bought and sold quite a few cars within the past 12 months.

Is there a limit to how many cars I can sell in a given timescale? Does anyone monitor how many cars a person buys and sells?

Normally the DVLA take 2-3 weeks to send through logbooks, I get mine within a week!

Am I likely to be approached by anyone (the taxman?) if I sell too many cars?

I've sold around 300 cars over the past dozen or so years, and I've never had anyone query it thus far. I almost wish they would in a way - I might be able to offset the money I lose on cars against my income tax.

Myself and Liz Taylor often sell upwards of 200 cars a month without bothering to inform the Inland Revenue.

Yeah, but you're just selling shoeboxes to neds on finance - I don't think the Inland Revenue would be interested in that anyway.

and thankfully neither do i

i think with the car sales side, i think it would only be a problem with the inland revenue and council etc,if somebody else was to make it a problem.

This.

If you are selling high quality but older prestige stuff from your house, one by one, probably no one will want to dob you in.

If your flogging a load of old rotters that you know is duff, some one will put the boot in.

If you have not only filled up your own garden but monopolised all available communal parking (ref: google maps, bickles house  ) then your neighbours will doubtless get pissed off and have it in for you too.
