The Volvo solution is probably the least intrusive.

 

We sold the Sun-tor because there was no way of fitting a three point belt in the back without hacking the van to bits...

I'll have a good prod about in the back of the 240 and have a look under the headlining to see how it is mounted - it would definately be the most elegant solution and the 240 has a similar challenge to the sherpa thanks to the rear glass and forward position of the C pillar

Probably the safest is to use a self contained seat, you mentioned one for a Shogun, I know that Land Rover station wagons have the same kind of thing as an accessory. Or something from a minibus?

 

Then you need to make sure the mounts are secure through the floor, which is much less faffing about than a 3rd point up in the roof.

You're wrong,

VW's have the thread for the shoulder part of the belt in what is best described as the waistline.

It's just below the window, behind the C pillar but not in it.

 

Mine is at the paint-shop having new doors fitted at the moment, but I'll post pictures as soon as

it's back assuming no-one beats me to it.

I've spoken to the technical guys at Securon a few times when I used to sell car stuff.

One of them is a bit "Is it in the catalogue? Then we don't do it :( " But the others are REALLY helpful. Give them a try.
