Beware of theses cowboy latter day robin hoodsters......... ripped me off big style for 5 weeks cover ...... nearly £200

dispute over number of years no claimes discount i have , produced the relevant document but they disputed it and wanted to charge more for the cover even though i paid up front . Gave me 1 working days notice of cancellation , tryed to communicate with them but you know when your at school and the teacher is always right even though they arn't ................aaarrrgh i'm mad (and its my first post) top forum BTW !!!!!

Surely with the previous policy number it would prove how much NCD you have? It's beyond me why there isn't a database they can't access to check this, since we're always told they do it with our other details to prevent fraud

If you have a problem you can take it up it the insurance ombudsman.

The insurance company has a senior director who is responsible for responding to the ombudsman within... 7 (or is it 14... can't remember) days.

But you will need copies of letters, telephone notes and times/dates.

Complete waste of time. A mate of mine had a Mini Sprite auto which got nicked. It was found the day before the insurers (Adrian Scumflux) were about to pay out. So it got recovered and repaired. It then got nicked AGAIN 2 months later, but they're refused to pay out, saying the policy was voided by the repairs payout. They didn't inform matey of this, and the car was always on the MID list as being insured and they didn't ask for the certificate back. The Ombudsman (sounds like an old Leyland Bus) have got involved but Flux have now stopped replying to letters and emails. It stinks frankly, but Flux have always been pretty bad -I had a run in with them years ago.

 

In this instance the Ombudsman have been utterly useless.
