dollywobbler Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 More than likely within six inches of the rear seatbelt mounting or rear suspension arm mounting? So yes. Shouldn't cost that much to have repaired, but that does depend on finding a small, out-of-the-way sort of a mechanic like the one I found in Cambs. I need to find one of those around here!!
Cavcraft Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 I'm almost certain boot floor is not a failure as they're not structural, though obviously not having anywhere to hang the backbox won't be any use. Door shut would be structural so you could either get jiggy with the mig or try your hand at fibreglass.
oldford Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 If you imagine a sphere of 30cm radius and place its centre on the rusty bit any proscribed area within that sphere will be a fail. A proscribed area is where anything that can affect the steering, suspension, brakes and seatbelts is mounted. If a front seat has its buckle attached to the frame, then all the seat mounting points are taken into account.
