Quick question for teh shite haulers

I'll soon be making enquires about having my Silvia dragged down from Manchester, about 200miles away from Hemel. Getting to/from Manchester is a but of a ballache as I either have to rent a motor and take a couple of days off work or get the train via friggin London . Do I really need to be with the car when it's collected ? Would hitchin a lift with the 'hauler be likely ?

What's the usual deal with this kind of situation ? :?

edit: driving it on a spirious MOT booking isn't viable as it has brake and subrfame mount issues ie; it's a frigin deathtrap and never should have had the 'test when I got it.

You don't need to be there when it's collected - though as a hauler myself for many weeks (I didn't like it...) it really is nice if the person is there as promised and if the thing actually rolls!

I don't think you need to actually be present. I've had cars collected in the past, simply by sending someone for them. Might be a good idea to be home when it's delivered though!
