Sixties Italian Shopping bikes ;)

Following a conversation with Cavette, I thought I should stick up a thread on my machine..... (it's the blue one in the middle )

It's a '67 sx150 with a super duper 186 kit on it, and numerous other speedy tweaks. Crap on fuel (compared to a standard Lambretta) and very loud. I love it!

It hit these shores in 2000 when it was a mere 33 years old. 10 years later she's going from strength to strength!

Thats a nice little thing, may sound like a silly question - But what are they like to ride ?

Must admit, i'm rather liking that colour Blue.

Quite simply awesome and pretty much perfect Wafers, got any more pic's please?

 

Mark: truthfully I found them a bit of a struggle after riding motorbikes. Getting used to it now but I don't feel as confident cornering (cheap shit Chinese ditch finders don't help) and the clutch takes some getting used to. GR8 fun though, you can't beat bimbling round inhaling two stroke fumes here and there and not feeling like you're in any rush. Which is just as well really

 

This Bert character, he doesn't ride a Vespa called 'The Black Bitch' by any chance does he? The only other black one I can recall was a sixties Lambretta owned by a fella from Liverpool or Birkenhead. He wears all the gear (tonic suits, pork pie hat etc) and is probably in his late fifties. Cracking bloke and usually seen at local meet ups etc.

'When' i've got insurance and that sorted, it'd be cool to turn up at one of your meets to both view the Scooters and have a catch up with Mr Byron.
