Another LPG query

Multi-point needs a seperate ECU everything else can be sourced on the bay.The ECU will have it's own wiring harness which plugs into the original unit as opposed to splicing into the loom on the single point system.

Sorry to hi-jack this thread but can i ask a question too?

It often seems to be the case that LPG converted cars have "issues" with the engine management light coming or staying on. Sellers usually state that it's not a problem, just the ECU failing to recognise that fuel is getting through as there is no petrol passing. Is the explanation that simple or could it be an indication of other problems?

Thanks

More than likely the case.Like I said earlier,on a single point system you have to splice into the wiring for the injectors to fool the ECU into "thinking" fuel is getting through when you switch to LPG.

Another thing that causes the engine management light to come on with LPG equipped cars is a misfire caused by knackered spark plugs. LPG tends to knacker standard plugs quite quickly. Not the end of the world, you'll agree.
