Some good spots there, especially the Escort of course! :D That’ll be a 1.6 judging by the grille and there aren’t many Ghia’s left these days, especially early ones like that. Not just that, my father one had a Sierra - H532 JJL. He bought it in 1996 (from memory) and had it for about 18 months. Came across from Grimsby if memory serves me correctly.

I did spot a Radient Red H reg mk5 Escort 1.6 LX estate yesterday parked up on the A49 just outside Leominster. It would have been a ‘91 model as it had Spa Grey velour interior. Apart from a small dent in the driver’s door it looked pretty much mint and even had it’s original wheeltrims. I almost had a trouser accident...

As for your other spots, I don’t see many elderly Renault 5’s left and I can’t honestly remember the last time I saw a Datsun Sunny of that vintage in the metal. What a spot!

Wow!, Look at that Datsun!, I hope it belongs to some old giffer who's had it since new etc.

I remember working on a H plate Mk 5 Escort Estate about 11-12 years ago, I collected it from a garage as a part X to do some serious rust repairs on it, I think the sills had holes and the A post was rotten as well as a wheel arch, When i was jacking it up to remove a wheel i caught my hand on a something sharp on the wheel, It turned out to be a bit of wire

Almost all the tires where so bald that they was down to the cored, After that i always checked the tires when collected old part x's from garages.
