Right, both not mine but I know the sellers.

I have an interest in the BX (used to be mine) and if I can find somewhere to lob it I'll be having it but in fairness to the seller it's up for grabs.

1996/7 Civic 1.4 i five door. Seems to run/start well and was in daily use until Friday.

Out of test and will need brakes (rear cylinder has gone) and I think they said rear bushes, so tow/recovery/trailer away only.

It's a silver five door 1.4 16V injection with about 99,000 on the clock. Bodywork is a bit rough, rear arches usual shit and the bonnet looks like it was cleaned with a brillo pad.

Logbook is there and it's taxed until the end of the month (few days) and they want it gone asap.

£95 or maybe £90* (I'm bloody sure you could break it and weight the rest in for a lot more than that).

*The scrapyard offered them £80 and the seller wants a 'little on top'.

1992 BX 1.9 n/a diesel estate. Not been on the road in a while, needs shit loads of cleaning and not GR8 for any anti-arachnids amongst you.

Starts very well, susepnsion rises/lowers as it should and I'm pretty sure it's a Bosch pump model (but don't hold me to that) so potentially cheap fuel ahoy.

Has a hole in the n/s/r quarter (not structural, but will fail on jagged edges) which I reckon some fibreglass and filler will sort out.

It was very reliable when I had it and the usual horror places (door shuts, inner wings, interior heater controls and screen surround) seem ok. There is rust here and there and if you're fussy you'll want to remove the back bumper, clean up and/or weld where it bolts through and I've not really been able to test the rear bearings.

For the money though it's a fucking right bargain and if I didn't have a scooter and another car in my garage I'd be owning it right now.

From a cursory glance I reckon it'd be well worth banging it in for an MOT and seeing how you get on. Handily enough the metal yard locally don't seem to know that some panels are plastic on a BX so weigh in opportunities abound. That'd be the last resort though as I think it's too good for that and deserves a better fate.

£80, needs to be gone soon.

Both are in Chester (opposite ends of this fair city) and I'm happy to try and help any potential buyers if I can. No pictures soz, can get some of the BX in the next couple of days probably.

I'll just re-iterate these are NOT my cars but I know both the owners.
