Brake Pad Question

If I needed brake pads, but the trained chimps at Euro have supplied brake pads with a wear sensor, will anything bad arise from just chopping the wear sensor cable off them? I can't be arsed to drive 15 miles back to swap them, but if it's gonna mean at some point I slam headlong through a shopping centre through catastrophic brake failure, I might.

If you don't need the wear sensors then I can't see that removing the unwanted items will cause sudden Armageddon when you use your brakes!
