Finding previous owners???

I am trying to track down a couple of cars i used to own. Is there any way i can find out who was the last registerd keeper as the dvla site says the have been dead a while?

Unlikely to be easy. The DVLA wont tell you. You could apply for a log book for it. If the current registered owner fails to respond or says yes then you'll then have his contact details as last registered keeper at the bottom when the log book arrives. Long shot though....

 

Either that or if you have any mates in the Police or DVLA...?

I thought the DVLA would give all previous owner details if you paid them.

Applying for a log book....dont know why i never thought of that.lol. Mind you its 20 notes a time though.

only if you own the car (in possession of the V5c) and pay them - think its a fiver

They also notify current owners someone has applied for the V5 so they (owners) may suspect something malicious.

 

As above I'm pretty sure you can send DiVLAds a tenner or something and they'll send you photocopies of all V5s issued.

Im at work for the next 20 minutes. If you pm me the reg I can HPI the cars. It'll say when the last keep change was and if written off etc
