It developed a parasitic drain like many of them did. To get round it I fitted a remote battery disconnect.

The driver’s door handle carrier was broken - another common fault. An easy job once I’d broken into the car. 😮

It was a lovely driving position and was a good tow car.  I do miss an E53 X5.

Aye the door handles can be an issue! I think both fronts have been done recently which is good though once youve done it it doesnt take long, its spotting the early signs if the handle and cradle failing, to get to it before the door no longer opens.
