top tin spot film: Mesrine, Public Enemy No 1

This week I have mostly been watching the wonderful 2008 French gangster movie Mesrine, Public Enemy No 1 (listed as L'instict de mort on France).

 

besides being a bloody good movie with the excellent Vincent Cassells (who you may rembemer as the boyfreint character in the 1990s Clio ads "papa?" "nicole? where are you goin mon petite choufleur" - "oo -papa I am going to get ze rogering of zis dusky chap in ze back of ze neuveaux clio") as Mesrine, one of the nastiest criminals of recent times

 

the most nteresting thing about the film is during it's biographic journey from the late 50's to 1979 there is a phenomneal amount of tin on show - French, American, British -

 

a movie all lovers of Autoshite should watch

Its been mentioned a few times here before, a nice selection of rammel including Renault Estafettes and a BMW E12.

I think this is the fourth topic about this film. But yeh, it's good (part 2 is the better one for tat-spottage), even if loads of nice old shite gets destroyed
