So is the pre March 2006 band K cut off for over 229g being abolished then? So pretty much any petrol car from 1.8 upwards will be £710? Cunts.

Ahhh OK. Can't find anything to support that anywhere else online and that website is from a leasing company who deal in battery powered cars, so I'll take it with a huge pinch of salt for the moment.

Worth noting that v4b are a leasing company and highly unlikely to have a direct line to the Chancellor and her plans. Reading through the article it appears they’ve simply not bothered to mention the March 2006 cut off, probably because it overcomplicates what they’re trying to say and given that they’re a leasing company trying to sell the idea of a new car, including a bit that says older cars are cheaper to tax isn’t in their interests. 

TL:DR - put the outrage bus back in its shed, wait for 30/10 to actually see what is happening.
