Tatton car show pictures June 5th 2010

I tend to go to this fairly regularly since it is just down the road from where I live.

The seemed to be an over representation of TVRs, Cobra replicas and other growly things this year, and hardly any propper car show clobber, with not a single Marina that I could see, beige or otherwise. Maybe they're waiting 'till tomorrow for the rain.

It seemed almost poetically apt the only XJ40 should be a beige 2.9 with cloth.

The E28 BMW is just an unbeatable looking saloon. Great photos.

Commer PBs look really good on rostyles I reckon, there is one round these parts that I must get a shot of one day. Loving the Appia too, can't be many of those in the UK

Nice pics. The only trouble I have with Tatton is its the same cars year after year.

Appia for me too.

I've seen the Simca estate a few times, the rear deck and fittings are really nice - it has polished wood (effect?) panelling and chrome rub strips. Many European cars of this age are very nicely fitted out in comparision to British tat.

Yes it's on tomorrow. Agree with Mr Lobster, some cars are getting very familiar. But it's still a good show with a decent autojumble, often the only one I attend in the year.

Excellence.

That Simca is pretty glorious, shite-wise..

The E28 though, hot diggity, that is a car that still properly cuts a dash.

Nothing would make me "appia" than that Lancia.

Mmmmm Gordon Keeble.

I've done Tatton every year, but if they're still charging like wounded rhinos to get in I might give it a miss.

MR, where's local for you? Other than the Cheshire Lounge meet, Tatton's my closest show.

+1 for the Appia love, although I wouldn't kick the 8.32 out of bed.
