i have just been offered a 1.5 lxi proton wira on an 02 reg.. really clean motor... ticket till mar 2011never heard of the wira until i saw that one..read review in parkers and he says "RUN FOR THE HILLS" just wondering what you guys think of them..and what price you would pay for the above model..

I run from the hills if I see Parker's guide. It's a bag of wank.If the Proton is cheap enough and looks o.k it has to be worth a punt imho.

The Wira is just an 'updated' Persona saloon/hatch. Good reliable things and dustbin cheap these days. Go get it

Like Daewoo and Toureag I would be cautious to buy one as I wouldn't know how to really pronounce the name (hence embarrassment). Proton = reliability. Only be cautious if you're a trader (a la Parker's reaction), as you won't sell it on your forecourt.

I can say Daewoo, but never sure about Touareg / Toe-rag or whatever it is! Or Sssangyong & Ypsilon.... As for Wira, I'd say it like "Wira never gonna reach our destination in this thing!"
