After having a very painful phonecall with my insurance company for 20 mins today i think it might be best if i can get my 1994 Renault Safrane V6 on a ltd classic policy, the current company are painful to speak to !!!!Couldn,t understand anything they where going on about and there was a large problem with understanding each other(they are not English based)and this does annoy me,i only rang to comfirm a change in the garage address and i got passed to claims, windscreen, breakdown, then back to claims!!

Yep its 16 years old,its done 67 miles since September so a 1000 miles a year policy would be nice!

 :PIn that case, Footman James will put pretty much anything 15 years old or more on a classic policy - they did my Golf no questions asked, that's a 1992. £270 in a med-high risk area, 4500 miles, fully comp with breakdown.

I usethese.None of this "that's not really a classic" stuff and a nice helpful lady in an office with a squeaky door on the end of the phone. Definitely no call centre.

EDIT: Don't be put off by the web form saying 1960 - 1985 vehicles. My 1986 one is on a "classic" policy with them.

I'll second Footman James. They did me a classic policy quote on a 1993 480 Turbo I was definitely not looking at buying. They normally go through Royal Sun Alliance and their call centres are in the UK.Still doesn't stop it being a call centre though. I tried Brentacre for my Amazon and they wanted £2100 a year for some reason.

My Alpines are with them as well, but the Safrane is on an admiral multi-car policy (not garaged).
