Very nice 18 - I still do like to see 18s.

Here's my old 18GTS. Long gone but had after market cuise on it and the Boutique 4 spoke steering wheel.

Last seen running round Inverness.

OT, but I used to have a stack light '69 Merc 200 which was UTN 496Y....believed used by the RAF in Germany.....RHD though....

Just when you wonder where to talk about R18s, along comes this thread! :D

That's a Newcastle area-issued plate on there (TN) and I remember seeing the car at the NEC (in 2003 I think), though even I could have worked out that the price was for it new. A forum couldn't ever have too much R18-related stuff..... Or R12, R16, etc.

It's great to see a couple of nice R18s in one day; only this very afternoon, at around 2 o' clock, heading into Durham from the East, I saw a black R18 Diesel, it looked absolutely bloody gorgeous.

If you're on here and are the owner, I was the bloke in the brown Dolomite whose lower mandible fell off at the sight of the 18. It made my day seeing that. 8)

Absolutely right - NEC in 2003.

We bought UTN 33Y from Browns of Shiremoor - we lived in Cramlington at the time. Then we moved SARF is 1987 and saved it from the dreaded salt!

:D Yay! That certainly was the 18 I spotted today. Looked absolutely perfect too.

I remember Browns of Shiremoor too, not sure whether their site is still a garage or a part of the ongoing development of the area for dwellings; Human Beings for the use of. :(

I remember standing and staring at UTN on display at the NEC while Dad, who had travelled down with me for the show, insisted that he'd sooner go and look at something a little older.

Strange fella.....

Do you ever miss Cramlington, Alan? Methinks you're not the only ex-Cramlingtonian on the forum. Pandamonium, isn't that your old stomping ground as well?

I lived in Cramlington while at Uni. Tangmere Close. My ex'es Father in Law had a nice blue R18 GTL estate on Tindale Avenue

Browns closed years ago unfortunately - I think before we moved.

I don't miss Cramlington at all - bitterly cold wind from around September to May!!

Not the most interesting town in Northumberland.

I'm originally from Wallsend - now there's a town worth coming from - ask Sting

Pandamonium? No - you got me there.

I'm mostly seen on the Jeep SRT8 forum and Turn It On Again forum - I play in a Genesis trib band!

INCROYABLE!!!!

Thats a superbly well looked after 18 Alan. My Dad had an estate (A775 XMT) for a bit and that was a lovely car. Great cruiser. Not a patch on yours though. And welcome to the site BTW!
