Alignment done. Didn't get before/after numbers but the average fuel economy on a round trip to town fully loaded was 19.

When all the wheels point the same way, fuel economy improves.

Make a note of that

Edit: That's 29 UK miles per gallon, which I'm quite impressed by

I did a wheel rotation (non directional tires, so X pattern swap) after going to town this morning and coming into the city this afternoon.

The shake has followed the wheel. Cold it doesn't shake at all; after 5 miles or so it'll shake sometimes at 55-60, other times be completely balanced. No reason for it.

I reckon it's got a bad belt or something that allows the rubber to stretch when it gets warm. Doubtful the warranty will do anything, so I think I'm just gonna get a couple new tires- put the non shaky rear as the spare and put two new tires on the rear right and spare wheel.

That wheel has been balanced twice now and each time it has had different weights put in different places and it still shakes bad.

Have you had the tyre 'moved' on the rim ? i.e rotate the tyre 90degrees from where it is then rebalance... sometimes works ...

I jacked the car up and brought the rear wheels to 55.

Quite visibly, the tires aren't round.

New tires time. Turkish Goodyears this time were bunk.
