Now I’d just buy a new Mazda6 tourer to replace our existing one, in 2.0 petrol.  As close as you’ll get to old school motors these days. 
95, having had a 99 Toyota Avensis 1.8 that last I saw was still going strong at 200k, I’d probably look at whatever was available prior to that, a Carina I believe.
