Really wanted to see Horopito scrap yard again but just didn't have time. I had so many missed spots whilst out there, the worst (best?) of which must have been a lovely reddy orange Fiat 128 3P driving through Paihia.STUNO, I looked out for that HA Viva ute that's proving elusive when we were in Rotorua but we didn't stay long, so not much opportunity. Suppose we'll just have to go back some time soon then

That's an interesting read that NZ artical. I never realised the Contessa engine was Hino's own. i awlways though it had a Renault engine. The website it links to is worth a read too... www.hinosamurai.org

NO, this Hino was White. That Viva is doing my head in, I WILL get it one day There are not a lot of Fiats of that era left because of the rust problem.Horopito will wait for you !

I saw this Hino TWICE yesterday while driving the bus. It was being A framed .Saw it in early morning and late afternoon it the same street. I'm taking my camera with me today so it has probably disappeared now.
