Why do people do this?

My son has a new project, this is it after he had spent two hours removing over a dozen stick-on chrome flames, two eagles, half a dozen horses and numerous stick-on door/lock protection devices.

Doesn't look too bad now, it's going to be painted so the rest of the backing and glue will be off soon but this is what it looked like earlier the same day...........

I still can't work out if they were actually towel rails on each side......

That looks like a useful utility machine!

I think you should put those lovely fake mag wheel trims back on.

Savage wheel trims eh? He wanted them off in the yard before it was loaded onto the transporter. Ideally he wants wide steels in black with trim rims painted body colour but I can see a set of Minilite or Cosmic type alloys heading that way.

Were the towel rails meant to be handles for removing the hard-top?

Possibly so but rendered useless once the "bespoke" roof rack was bolted through the top of the cab!The interior is awash with gauges which all seem to work, it has a quilted headlining and more stick on accessories for coin storage etc and even an inclinometer (as fitted to 4x4's) which raises doubts over it's handling abilities!
