I've got the bearing into the leg using the gas hob for heat (worked a treat), Now i need to get the Hub Flange into the bearing, I'm trying my hardest to do this myself due to no cash, if anybody can let me know how they've done it before or how they know how to do it using your ordinary "kerbside motors" Mechanics tools. Theres a pint in it for whoever cabn help me out with the best results. Thanks in advance Guys.[/b]

The smart way is probably with screwed rod, nuts and washers but it can be done with a hammer and socket too.

I put the carrier and hub etc inside a 15" wheel (it didn't matter if it went out of round), and used a bottle jack to turn the whole thing into a small press. The threaded bar sounds good too.

I've Tried using a threaded bar and yes, i can't get it to stay straight. Will this damage the bearing if i use brute force and ignorence?

M'coli, I'll be sure to try that tomorow if i can get my hands on a bottle jack, sounds like a good idea. Thanks for your help mate!
