Anything you've ever driven scared the crap out of you?

In 2004, going round THIS roundabout coming off Kelsterton Road at 15mph on a bone dry summer's day in my 1991 Proton 1.5 MPi. For some reason I cannot fathom, the back end went and I fish tailed for seemed like 5 metres, until the car came to a natural stop with no traffic around at all. I got out and checked the tyres and they were fine, so I just drove home.

Wow Station, I was gonna ask if the suspension was ok on it after the incident (it has been known for the rear suspension to collapse on these apparently). Both of mine made it to Cornwall and back (groaning under the weight of the kitchen sink  ) without any problems...

Suspension was fine I think, never had any problems with it, it was just such a bizarre thing to happen at such a low speed.Probably would've been diesel thinking back.

Suzuki SJs seem rather popular in this thread. I had one or two anxious moments in mine so here's one that springs to mind:Early one morning I was bowling along the outside lane of the A23 when a front wheel bearing disintegrated. The o/s/f wheel locked solid and the car made a determined lunge for the Armco which I was lucky to catch. Had it happened 2 seconds before it would have caught me with one hand busy turning the radio down so I could listen to the strange intermittent chirping noise that had developed in the last half mile. Fortunately, I managed to get to the hard shoulder without being collected by the following traffic and the only damage was a severely flat spotted remould tyre. My nerves were fairly jangling after that one, though!

Overtaking someone on Sealand Road out of Chester years back on my old Suzuki 2 stroke (GT380), went over a white line and the back end twitched big time. How the hell I stayed on I don't know and it put the fear of God into me.A passenger ride in a Reliant Robin to Alton towers circa 1981 eclipsed that though. I swear to God it was more scray than the corkscrew ride itself and I'm bloody awful with heights!
