In common with every other petition the government will ignore this, even the ones that vaguely make sense get ignored; this one doesn't so will be used to help the cabinet office select who does secret santa for Dominic Cummings. Who gives a shite about what gov policy might be in 30 years? Asking for a referendum on scrapping a meaningless and un-enforcible target is a pretty pyrrhic pastime.
