binhoker668 Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Just put new battery in Land Rover - absolutely no worries! Drove like it had been in daily use for the last year! So, basically it's gonna need a new passenger door - really - it opens on the door rather than the hinge if you know what i mean - rusty as the proverbial Sheriff's badge.Know anywhere good and perchance cheap where we could get a new mot-able door from?So hopefully, with some bits of cosmetic-but-would-fail-mot rust spots here and there, and a new door, it might just squeeze through!

Albert Ross Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Maybe better looking for a used door, but the windy window sticky out plastic hande type are pricey..............Try the place in Awsworth, go up the A610 towards Ikea, and instead of turning right, turn left and up the hill toward Ilkeston the back way. On the crest of the hill there is a row of shops on the left. One of those is (or was) a little aladdins cave of Land Rover bits. There might also be a bloke in Hucknall called John Hall......Go into Hucknall itself from the south, and he's on the left before the main shops start, up a side road who's name I forget, then there's Dave out near Kirkby in Ashfield..........forgot his surname and address but could drive there blindfolded! erm..........theres a breaker on Mapperley top, worth a try up there, I think he goes under the eBay name of CandN but I might be well wrong....happy hunting! It's been 20 years since I lved there, but I visit quite a lot (BTW all my stuff is from before 1971!)
