When did they stop making these? I ask as on my daily drive on the M25 this morning a CX25 diesel estate on a H plate came past me at a rather rapid rate of knots.It was white and a bit dirty with a dent in a rear door but looked remarkably rust free

'89 for the saloons and I think 1990 or '91 for the estates. The XM hatch appeared in '89 on the G but the estate was much later - hence the CX estate being found on an H and J-prefix. 'Twas ever thus for PSA estates, they always seemed to last a year or two longer after the equivalent saloon/hatch was replaced (BX, 304, 305, 405 etc).
