Recovery costs!

OMG how much is recovery / lift & shift these days???I needs to get my Maxi home, as I am not feeling very brave these days and saggy suspension and stood-for-three-years brakes don't sound fun. It's less than 10 miles, and the cheapest price I have got so far is £60. Chuffing ridiculous. Any bright ideas?I am gonna have to buy another A-frame I think.

Towing bar? Cheaper than an A Frame as long as it stands on all 4 wheels.When I had my old banger shifted by recovery truck it was about £120 for 35 miles. Cheap it aint

How far are you from Northampton? I've got to go down to Oxford on saturday morning and I'll be going via A43/A45. I could bring my A frame for you to borrow on the way down and pick it up on the way home.

Book it in with a local MOT station for a test. ON the way, just near your house, break down, push it onto your drive, and cancel the test........sod the spongy brakes and suspension..............who needs them?

Long way from Stockport, chap!But cheers for thinking of me anyhow. The cars in St Neots, and I need to fetch it back to Biggleswade.£60 is still the lowest, a new A-frame is £120.
