Now i DO like this,little work to be a minter,nice history,rare in black,could you get a Ghia estate or is GL the highest spec??

You could get -later- escort estates in Ghia trim, but not sure of early ones - would've thought so as fake wood trimmings would've suited it.My mate's dad had a mk3 Ghia four door with wood trim - he passed it onto his son in the early 90's, probably living it's life as a tin can now. It had the same wheels, if I'm not mistaken they may be Ghia steelies.

The decadence of the Ghia wasn't available as an Estate. 1600GL 5 door Estate would have been £6453 - both the 5 door Estate body and the autobox were launced in '83.

^^As above.The Estate couldn't be had in Ghia spec in 1983, but this looks nice even with the Ghia wheels, I would be tempted to remove those chrome-look strips from around the arches though. rust opportunity waiting to happen methinks...
