Not strictly shite, but the paint is or rather was...classic warning!!

This week I have been continuing to strip the paint on my Elan, plus removing the Stainless sill trim under the doors and the clips which were attached to the body with 3 different types of fixings!!

It was suggested from what was revealed in the last update that a front repair section was likely to have been bonded in, this week we can reveal whether that is true, damage to the nearside wheel arch, copious amounts of filler over sections of original paint and another repaired crack in the grp.

First time I've seen this.

Looks a million times better than Duttons straight out of the factory.

It's quite possible though, that many of the defects were there when it left the Lotus factory.

My first thought was 'get over it, it's a lump of fibre glass'.

Then I checked the value.
