Yours, being a later model with the ABS unit behind the OS headlamp, shouldn't* suffer this issue. It was only the earlier models with the ABS unit up in the scuttle that had this particular feature. There are dozens of warnings about it in the HBOL, and I think it's even in the owners handbook.

 

Crap system that was only on 1988 to 1991 models. IIRC the ABS system was changed waay before the facelift in 1992/1993/wheneveritwas. I never owned one, but have heard the tales of woe. All my pre-facelift 405s were non-ABS.
