I'll be fine after a little while with my arm in a sling. It's just an unfortunate reminder that I need to have an operation to correct the underlying problem, which I have been putting off for a while. Mainly due to the three month recovery time, during which no driving can occur!

Goodness me you poor bugger. Obviously yay for the Citroën but ouch! Does it occur just at a funny angle or does weight have to be applied in a certain way to dislocate it?

It has to be at the magic angle for it to pop out. Basically stretched straight up and then practically zero force will pop it out. It was a half second mistake reaching with the wrong arm under the car and pressing the nozzle on the plus gas and with no warning it popped out, then the terror starts. I had a good long run, the last incident was early 2015. This year plenty of ambitious car repairs but no issues as long as I’m careful. Before then I always popped the shoulder back in but on these past two occasions it has been impossible and requires an A&E visit. I sense getting the operation is a priority now. It’s my right arm and I’m left handed which has allowed me to nurse it quite well.
