Turns out my last landlord had neglected to pay the gas, internet, electric or cleaners, so I had to find a new house fast. This presented me with a bit of a problem in that the Datsun is way too small to move my stuff with and the Golf is still broken. So of course the only solution was to get the autotrader on the day it came out and buy a car! £495 later and I now own this

 

 

 

You will be pleased to hear that it is also proper autoshite spec. Electric windows, air con, central locking, power steering....just a few of these things this car doesn't have. In fact the only option this has that my Datsun doesn't is electric mirrors - now that's 20 years of progress! It is also in red, my most detested colour. However bar the fan only working on full speed everything else works fine, it's really clean and tidy and actually isn't that bad to drive.

 

If it turns out to be reliable and economical I may keep it. Now I just need to fix and sell the Golf.........

Looks alreet to me, Almeras drive a lot better than they look. Provided the rust bug hasn't chomped through the rear sills and front crossmember, it should be pretty cheap to own...

Thats the Autoshite way - you need to find a new house and go out and buy a car! Good work that man Almera looks ok, not the worlds most exciting thing but reliable and decent enough though.
