Best (cheapest) place for a set of HT leads for a BMW M44 engine.

I thought today I would start the car up (BMW 318ti) as it’s been standing awhile and it’s running a bit lumpy and want to chuck a new set of leads on the old girl.

I’ve been on eBay and can have cheapo leads for the M43 for around £13 a set but for an M44 it’s a different story and I’ve tried the likes of GSF, ECP etc but I’m not having much joy unless I want to pay a kings ransom and wondered if anyone has any ideas in places online to buy some.

Pretty sure these are coil on plug mate, so no leads.

 

Have a look under the plastic bit that says BMW in the middle of the rocker cover and you should see the coils.

Still plug leads going into a single coil pack.

Ah right my bad.

 

I knew M42s had remote coils as I remember doing a COP conversion on my old E30 which was a 316i converted to M42.

 

I had it in my head that I used M44 coils, but obviously not, must have been M50/M52.
