"If Autoshite did book clubs" - Coffees Collection

I don't think we do books clubs, but if we did I'm sure this is the sort of stuff we'd all like.

I've got a collection of old automotive books, manuals and brochures which I feel you guys would be interested in.

How did i come into ownership of this? Well one day a few months back my dad was at the local indoor second hand market, the type that sells any sort of crap, and he spotted books in a box with Rover SD's on them. On closer inspection he seen the books were workshop manuals, and had a range of other books with them. Knowing I have a thing for stuff like he got it for the sum of a few quid and I've had it since.

So enough story time, time for the first in the batch..

Rover 800 Electrical book:

"Should be used in conjunction with the Rover 800 electrics video program"

Rover Electrical diagnostics part one:

This is an interesting one, it has a wire diagram for the SD1 3500, as well as a page-by-page description of a video that I guess would be shown to technicians?

1 Litre, 4 speed in red with grey trim!

6 stamps, first in 1988 and last in 96 at a recorded 33,247 miles.

Vauxhall/Opel service book, which was never used:

I have a one or two of these, some used some unused.

Nothing signed in the book other than the two stubs, and the missing tear off with them.

Early 90's Mazda brochure:

And that's all for tonight.

I'll try to add updates with more of the books every so often if there is demand. :)

Now I'm kinda interested to see how the two go together, as the book is essentially just lots of wire diagrams!

Free service on a GM/Opel/Vauxhall voucher? Billy bonus! How many digits does a corsa B have on the odometer? Could you force them to do a free service at 100,600 miles?

I mean they'd literally shit in the ashtray but the wording on that voucher is very vague. CALL DOMINIC LITTLEWOOD!

Bump if anyone cares, it's only been 4 months since I posted. But now for another round! This time with even more Rover than before!  :-D

So to kick things off, is this batch of Austin/Rover handbooks...

What I like most about them is how in-depth they go on things, in the Austin Metro one it go's as far as telling you how to change the oil/filter and checking the tappets yourself! Maybe just an age thing, with said book being older than me, but not used to owners handbooks having that sort of information!

I also got a kick out of the 'In-car entertainment' book, showing how to work your radio/cassette and the difference between how different they are pending your budget (or lack of)..

And it even includes the frequency's of local stations to pick...

Keeping with radios, another Ford service book as well as audio manual.

Love how the Panda handbook includes how to read the inclinometer on the 4x4!

and the Isuzu one has the cartoony illustrations all Japnese cars seemed to come with in the 80s/90's.

Not cars, but every way related is this:

Its a brochure and booklet for Crypton. The booklet has all sorts of info for doing there training courses including things such as local hotels and shops for if you plan doing a course!

Now this is the bits I'm most happy about...

SD1 goodness!

3500 V8 engine
