Crypton tuna

My local Nissan dealer have bought a load of new MOT emmisions testing kit and sold me their old stuff but they also had this Crypton 440 tuner sat in the corner. They were after 500 notes for it but I can fire them any offers anyone would like to make and see what they say. I reckon a couple of hundred would be more like it. It does all the usual plus a 4 gas tester etc so would be a pretty cool bit of kit to have.

I've got an older one already which doesn't do gas tests but now I have the gear for emmisions testing petrol and diesels there's no point in me getting it. I can get more detailed info on it if anyone wants the specs.

I paid £75 quid for the exact same model off ebay a few years ago. Came with a load of spares and autodata books & operation handbookMind you I did have to travel from Llanelli to Essex with a hired trailer on 'Black Friday' to get it!

I bought this to keep my S Type right, but the thing's made its money at least 10-15 times over for switching off the engine management light on local taxis. Dealers can charge up to £80 for this diagnosis and then dosh on top for rectification. I charge a score, and I've guys beating a path to my door.

Sorted a Clio (bleugh!) for a driver's sister (yum!) and got 20 quid AND a shag out of it.

Paid just over £80 for the scanner from teh Bay of da E. (new)

That is far too new for my carb and K-Jet fed current Motahs.

However your tablecloth-shite is too cool for school. Where did you get the fabric?

LOL! That's actually a quilt cover. I got it in Debenhams in Belfast.

Its stuck in the shed atm because my garage roof is leaking

I saw the same model in the free ads a couple of years ago and it was up for something like £195 so I think £500 sounds a bit steep, when I paid 75 notes for mine and it came with a load of Autodata/Crypton books. If anyone needs any info from them then drop me a line and I will have a look in the book or scan the page for them

On a side note - Anyone near or know Pembroke Dock in West Wales? I was passing through a few months ago and a Alfa Romeo dealer had closed down. Local kids had smashed every window and the garage door was wide open (for about 3 months), the place was full of books, headlamp alignment machines, diesel smoke testers, crypton tuners, and gas analysers. Drove past about 3 weeks ago and the place is still up for sale but boarded up tight.

Off the driver?Bet if you took the front off the tuner it'd just be an old smelly circuit board and loads of wires.
