Classic car (& bike) insurance - Recommends

OK, first off - sorry this has been done before but would like a few opinions that are current. Good, bad, indifferent.

 

I've got renewals coming up for my 1991 205GTi (in three weeks) and the 1991 MX5 (in six weeks). Both currently with Carole Nash but they've annoyed me so much last year by not fixing a simple problem of their own making (seriously) that I want to jump ship.

 

Want compo & agreed value cover. '2nd car only' use (have a daily chod driver), garaged, no business use.

 

Last year both were about £170 each. CN's renewal on the 205 is the same this year but want to look further afield anyway.

I've had a Classic Multi-car policy with Footman James for years now, they've been very good. A minimum of three cars are required though... shouldn't be too much trouble for a dedicated shiter

Footman James for bikes got lots on a policy which allows a modern bike as well and riding other bikes cover.

 

They've been good in the past for cars but other people seem to have variable experiences depending on who they speak too.

 

A Plan for cars and vans are very helpful

Adrian Flux are CHEAP, but not sure how good if you need to claim, you get what you pay for to some extent I suppose.

There's a good thread on the blue forum about flux, talk about advertising backfire....
