Does anyone know of anywhere that tests/repairs BMW FRM Modules? Probably a question for Rev Bluejeans.

Probably best to get a used one and code it to the car. Depends on what it's for, not forgetting the fact that the number on yours will have been superseded about 9 times.

Its a 2006 BMW X5. The electric window on the drivers side won't close. If we managed to obtain a used FRM how much are you looking at for coding it to the car? Does it need to be the exact same number or can a different one be coded to the car?

2006 could be a late E53 and they use a body control (GM) module. E70's are all different. You're best ringing a company like Quarry Motors in Sheffield tbh.

It's the older shape E53 type. I'll tell him to give them a bell. He'd been quoted £600 to replace it with a new module, for that it wasn't worth doing more a case of live with it.
