Supermarket Diesel

Does the 5% biofuel element (or whatever the figure is) get mixed at the supplier or is it mixed at the pump?

Probably at the suppliers. Tell you what though, they've opened a bio fuel production unit by us and it properly f*ck*ng stinks, it's the tallow (animal fat) apparently.

One of our customers processes animal fats and it does properly stink. I think the only place I've been that smelt worse was the R&A.

I tend to use my local Shell garage because the nearest supermarket is 10 miles away plus I hate supermarket fuel stations. They are always busy but nobody is in a hurry, there is nothing more frustrating than waiting whilst some mouth breather takes over a minute to put their seat belt on, start their car and eventually drive away.

I do like the pay at the pump idea though.

Slight detour, sorry, haven't read all this thread so might be covered above. What about supermarket unleaded?

Yo Dude,

In post 4396 above Prof E Nosbod presents evidence that Supermarket Unleaded contains 15%  "Spawn of the Devil" alcohol  thus making it unsuitable for Sunny Muslim, Jewish and Jaywick Resident's designed engines whereas the Veg Oil from the Vegan section (isle 36) will run sewage pump Rover and XUD Bosch diesels.
