Leon Cupra tdi for a week.... i had to stop using it as was driving like a w1ker, even more than normal   it was an 05 150hp one, quite hard on the old bones but it's a young uns brief not for this old coont, nice though and seemed well built. The woman that has it (friend of a friend) said did i want to buy it.....noooo thanks. Anyone else had one..

Got the Pez version, been wanting to replace it for a year but its a pretty good all rounder in its price bracket. 5 Door, reliable, quick, reasonable mpg, fits in the garage (just), loads of spares and knowledge around the net, and looks half decent. Quite tempting to get the Cupra R, but the price jump seems so much.

 

The only down point are the seats are about as comfy as a deck chair and sixth gear isnt long enough.

That's the trouble with a diesel with a bit of stick behind it, there's barely any fuel penalty for hammering it cause they'll pull and pull due to the torque. Unfortunately this also means the DMF and clutch lasts no time as well.

That's right, this one's got a Xedy paddle clutch in it so i'm told as the bite on take off is quite fierce/abrupt
