DodgeRover Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Judging my how most people seem to rate this highly where is the most cost effective place to get a litre to try it out?Can it be over painted with chassis enamel then Shultz? Is it a problem if you have to grind/ weld something that has previously been done with it?Thanks
mercrocker Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 I use this stuff but haven't (yet) needed welding or grinding of anything treated with it. Ebay was indeed my source and was the cheapest place. You can paint over it with anything IIRC but allow 24 hours before doing so. Areas I have treated over the last 3 or 4 years seem to be holding up OK but have been overcoated. I treated an iron horseshoe and left it unpainted 3 years ago - that still looks good despite having been out in all weathers ever since
dollywobbler Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Ebay. Try to pour out only what you need. A little goes a surprisingly long way. I usually end up treating about 20 more things than I intended... mercrocker 1
mercrocker Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Clean yoghurt pots are your friend here.....And don't forget to keep your brush exclusive to Vactan useage (that's what the bottle says, anyway....)
