Samba is a low miles early cabrio. Not as rotten as you'd expect. Had some serious welding during its life. Was mot'd. Runs like a hound at the mo (needs a carb). Soon to be upgraded with twin carbs (still six port) which will hopefully transform the beast! Then..... some topless chananigans!

There's a group off of that there facebook called "Northern Retros" IIRC that have a couple of shows a year, one coming up, that celebrate quality cars like old Polos and FSOs.

There was also another group that started something around meetups at Sprucefield once a month or so, I heard there were a few hotrods, tatty 205s, Audi 80s that kind of thing at it. I don't know if that's still going, was only a couple of years ago.
