South West Shiters - Garage recommendations?

Right, bear with me.

 

A very close friend and her other half have a Range Rover 2.5 DSE with the BMW diesel engine with a head gasket failure. He's had old classic British cars for years and he's very hands on but poor health forced him to outsource the work, the head was skimmed but as soon as he drove off, it started overheating again, so he stopped it.

 

They're genuinely nice people and have asked for my recommendations for a mobile mechanic to come to them in Par near St Austell and replace the head gasket. They're happy to pay the going rate, they just want a good, reliable mechanic who ideally is familiar with the engines/job involved.

 

Does anybody have any recommendations?

The only people I can think of that may have experience of that engine is Howard's Bmw in Redruth . Not cheap but I've sent a couple of bmw jobs his way and I'm very happy with his work .

These crack cylinder heads for fun. Also check the radiator hasn't blown the little plastic flap in the top tank as this will make them overheat. I have got the special tools to do these but nowhere near St Austell though
