Are the company Techniclutch any good

They are mainly on eBay I might be looking for a new flywheel and clutch (LUK dmf) and they do a reasonable price. A friend got one from them for his car a year ago and seems to be ok, has anyone else used them?

A quick google suggests buyer beware. Can't say I've ever heard of them.

I think buyer beware is putting it very mildly after having read some of the stuff on the internet about them.

Yep, reading further, they are a big con and now have maybe changed their name.

Didn't these used to make "uprated" clutches that were nothing more than a standard clutch with the pressure plate painted red

Well.....it seems his clutch kit IS from them although has "National clutch distributors"(NCD aka Techniclutch) on his receipt, like i say it seems to be kind of ok but i had a go in it a while ago and noticed a vibrating feeling through the pedal when idling. When it is in neutral and if you touch it there is pulsing/vibrating through it, he said he didn't think was there before and has a 4year/40000 miles warranty but after reading about them i guess he has had it with that.

I will need one shortly too but will go to the local factors and if i need to pay a bit more then so be it at least it will be face to face service and kind of know them now, i would also ask where they got them although they might not want to say, If that was the case i would say i don't want one from this lot but i'm sure they will have heard of them.
