keef Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 You know, the one who used to molest you on the back seat of the Damask red Wolseley Six back in the seventies This one?
Lankytim Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 Theres a headstone with a nicely carved motorbike on it in the graveyard where my Grandparents are buried in Coventry, been there 30 years or so.The fella raced motorbikes and was a bit of a local hero, apparently he stacked his machine one day out on the road killing himself in the process, its this bike thats on his gravestone. Nice touch I think. Hes got the snazziest headstone in the churchyard anyway.
FredTransit Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 When I go I would like to go in a transit (not at the wheel, I mean in the back) but I am not keen on being buried as I think it's a waste of land. So no gravestone with a transit on it for me!When I saw the title I though it meant actual ghost, on that subject, can anybody explain why the dogs don't want to be in the ambulance? One time took one of the terriers, found her hiding in the footwell when I got back to the van. Another time I had to go to Leeds with it and had to take the lurchers, one of em stood up ALL the way looking at one of the stretchers! I kept an eye on the in the rear view mirror, and though if I see anybody sitting there, I am on the hard shoulder and off out of it!SPOOKY!
Father Ted Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 Rememember Fred - the dead dont hurt you, its the living that do that.Never bothered me dead people. I have kipped in many a hospital bed / stretcher on nights that had only recently been vacated by the living. Cant say I have ever had any problems. Slept over night in a haunted house (Chingle Hall) once and slept in the one room no one else would sleep in because they all said it was too creepy - cant say I had any problems.Nearly bought a house once that had had someone murdered in the kitchen too - it was only the wife that really didnt want it ( could have got it for a really good price as the kitchen floor was stained and needed ripping up to get rid of the blood stains.
FredTransit Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 I am not bothered by the dead I knew, when we lived near I would often spend then afternoon till dusk at my dad's graveside, that felt perfectly safe! people I don't know on the other hand, why are they bothering me???
Richard Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 When I felt ill in Blackpool a few years ago I spent twelve hours lying on a trolley before being given what must have been a dead person's bed. I just managed to dose off when a nurse woke me up to tell me they had got a bed for me. It wasn't clear what was wrong with the one I was in but clearly it wouldn't do, so I was wheeled along to my second dead person's bed of the night.
