Mosney Show 2016

Mosney was originally a Butlins camp till 1982, before passing into private hands and eventually closing in 2000.

It's now an asylum seeker accommodation centre, which is possibly one of the more unusual venues for a car show...

An interesting collection of registration plates there.

And that Renault 5 makes me want to explode with pleasure!

Great pictures, I was there and got a load myself which I'll have to post up on here. The Terenure show on 3rd July should be superb!

Great photos sir. I've been meaning to ask about the numberplates: what's the craic with the old style ones, without the year? Are you allowed to keep them just as you wish, or is there some criteria that must be met?

[Anorak on]

And the majority of the RoI ones incorrectly displayed or non-period issues.

[/anorak off]

I saw a MG Magnette, a couple of Wolseley 15/50s, an A35 and a couple of others trundling up the M1 to NI earlier this evening...at around 45mph tops.

[Grumpy trucker]

TBH if you don't want to/can't go any faster than that, there is a perfectly good non-motorway route for tootling on back up North just like the olden days.

White plate on older stuff usually import

The plates like on the black Kadett - orig Irish car

The plate on the Reno 5 if cars been laid up then I'll get a newer tax book and put on a new style plate but cis its pre 87 he can get away with non white - if it was 3 and 3 plate it would be red
