Anyone here got one? Seeking one for a mag feature (or at least some background info about them). Would have happily had one as my first car, but ended up with a Mk2 Fester instead...

I had a look at one a couple of years back ,it was a 1600 4-speed. Had a quick drive and it felt good but the dealer wanted something like a grand for it and it was fairly grotty. It was beige

Mk1, mk2 and mk3 had near similar running gear. They handle very nicely when set up (Peugeot 205 levels), but worn out, standard suspension is terrible and scary.There are a load of stunning examples - there's a blue turbo 4x4 one, and a few standard ones. Try mk1oc.

I've had two in fact, an orange & a yellow one. Both now deceased though (the yellow one certainly is: I sold it to Mike, who sold it to some fella who tried to move it on at a huge mark-up, couldn't sell it at that & then scrapped it whn the ticket ran out. Knob.)Very nice cars, spritely, tidy handling, quiet & comfy. I'd rate much higher than a clattery rust-ridden Escort of the same era.

I had one, 5 door 1300LS in terracotta.

I miss that car more than any of the others I've had; it went well, handled and rode nicely, and didn't drink much. Class.
