tried tax said saxo all of there lines are busy,surprise surprise,not fit fot purpose,tried same always coming up successfull application v5c/2 to apply again,what a load of bollocks,.............................................................................

Have you tried the web page? It's never failed me once if I have the correct paperwork, and I tax up to 20 cars a month.

Is your paperwork correct? For a new keeper it's the V5C/2 and couldn't be easier online. Like I say I've never failed at it and I tax customers cars every day. The only likely problem that I guess may prevent it completing is an out of date logbook.

 

If all else fails you can still do it at the Post Office!

There's a dodge to getting the number if you have the V5c but not the V5C/2 - when I got the Puma the geezer gave me the whole V5c but he didn't have the V5c/2 - the website kept saying "denied" but I added a zero (or took one off ) the start or end (can't recall which, it was trial and error) and eventually it worked - then I sent of the V5c - now have tax and a new v5c in my name.
