How do they do it?

It's no doubt better being on a salary with them than this crazy 50p parcel business as a 'neighbourhood driver'.

Our local delivery driver gets 75pence per parcel and he says on average he pulls £350 per week,

If the yodels own drivers are as good as stated above then you should see what they do in the warehouse, I expect that's where the damage is mostly done

I did parcel delivery 15 years ago and got £1.60 a parcel, it was hard work then with fuel costs, van leasing etc, a reasonable wage could be earned with a bit of (tax free) light removals at weekends you could take home £5-600 a week after costs, I gave it up when rates dropped to £1.20 as the work/reward ratio wasn't worth it.

I got some 99p inc. delivery cycling glasses from China and they lasted absolutely ages.

But it cost you £££ in facial reconstruction surgery when you cycled into a wall :)
